I won’t be posting a Pocket Change post this week, mostly because I’m sad and I want to spend my Saturday night with the people I love. The world is a crazy place sometimes. Other times, it’s filled with art and kindness and humanity and people who try their best.
Whether you’re in London or not, you are still a citizen of this world, so take a deep breath + try to let the bad stuff help you appreciate the good stuff even more.
Hug all the people you love most and if you can’t be with them, let them know you’re thinking of them.
I will still be tweeting this week’s Pocket Change events because it’s important to celebrate art and togetherness in any of the tiny ways that we can. If you’d like to stay in the loop, follow us on Twitter @acatwehave!

When I first sat down to write this post, it was after spending a Sunday afternoon browsing A Beautiful Mess‘s blog and coming across an article about why it’s okay to promote ourselves. That article struck something in me. It was like a light bulb went off when Emma said:
“You have to give yourself permission to talk about the things you work hard on.”
Last week, I wrote all about why these creative events are so important to me. Have a browse, and let us know if you’d like your event listed!
